thought for the day - you really cannot beat actually playing the game lads ...
How very true. Where is the fun in watching a team collect dust in it's box on a shelf.

Aye, as we were discussing during one of my midfield faffing sessions! - There is really no need to rely on Tournaments or even finding/starting a club, all you need is someone who wants a game or three.........

Due to a recent illness (burst appendix) our regular meetings have not happened for a few months. However I'm sure we'll be starting up again very soon. I certainly miss it.

I have already described the free kick no less than three times ... to people who I must say displayed varying degrees of interest ;)

Now I can see you are keen to know ;) The Spiders were awarded the free kick probably half way between the right hand corner of the box and the shooting line whereupon Tranmere lined up a four man wall .. two Spiders attackers moved to the left of the wall and being unmarked caused a certain amount of concern in the home defence ... this was of course a cunning plan as Queens Park's number 7 floated a delightful chip over the wall and into the top corner of the net by the stanchion ... whilst the home manager passed one or two unrepeatable comments the visiting coach did admit to having practised this set piece more than once ... he did however resist the severe temptation to shout get it right up ye in a Glaswegian accent :)

As soon as the visiting team is identified, a suitable opposition will be sourced....
