flattening pitch contd
Match in progress so that it gives some context to the pitch creases .
Some aggro between players on the pitch in the above picture happened during play : St Mirren vs Dunfermline . The pars are in red to avoid a kit clash !!

Re: flattening pitch contd
The top two pictures were Newcastle at home to St Mirren - Even though Newcastle were at gone they went in their change entertainers hooped kit. As you can see some tricky creases. Hope to get it as flat as can be by putting it on the MDF board .

Re: flattening pitch contd
I used thumb tacs around the edges to stretch and flatten my astro. It's worth a try. Just don't stretch it too far as the pitch could tear if put under too much pressure. What bases are Newcastle on?

Re: flattening pitch contd
Your pitch has similar creases to mine Sammy, But your one looks like it was folded up due to the way some of the creases are?

Hello Gents, Haydino, yes, you're right ive folded it into the box and that's why the creases have occurred in that way, it's strange because when I smooth it over most of the folds/creases sort themselves. The exaggerated ones are a bit more of an issue. Hi Donegal, whats thumb tacs? apologies for the daft question. Are they similar to drawing pins? Newcastle hooped kit are sureshot bases I'm sure. The black and White side and the red and white side were the Subbuteo Hasbro figures. Anyone know what bases they are ? I'm terrible at awknowledging the base types.

Apologies for the fuzziness of my pictures camera wasn't focusing on my mobile that well.
Re: flattening pitch contd
I do believe that thumb tacks are the same as drawing pins, have you started to roll up the pitch when you are not using it sammy?

Re: flattening pitch contd
Hi Haydino, not rolling it up as yet, because I don't have cardboard tubing or something similar, and storage with still being at home is a real issue. I'm working on it, I don't want to shell out dosh for MDF and then have it clogging up space , Mum would have a carnary! Thank you Donegal, I did think that's what tacks were, wasn't entirely sure however. Full of self-doubt. Anyone know of a contraption, to assist with the rolling up of my cotton/felt pitch?!
