not really Achim .... we are largely happy in these islands ..... free to talk and talk as much as we like .... I think you may have an inferiority complex based upon your nations baffling failure to beat England when it counts most ?

why does the UK scene bother you ? we are all happy playing locally .
You play locally?? :lol!: :lol!:
Complex? Not for winning against the dream team of Hungary in 1954   , Iam sure you remember.
Why does the UK scene bother you ? So many words, so many discussions again and again - often so senseless.

But I will pray [-o< [-o< and play for you ... :G :G

Achim you talk rubbish ... concentrate on your own country.

I play locally because the standard and method of play suits me .. I suggest the majority here feel the same ... I summise you have nobody to play with over there otherwise you wouldn't be so obsessed with what goes on in England... a common German trait that .. sticking your nose into other folks business.

If a poor man has no arguments, no ability to reflect, or if he´s limited then he´s using insulting language.
Thats your standard, not mine.
Your intellectually undemanding reaction shows me that my view can´t be so wrong.

PS: This here is called "The Independent Subbuteo Forum" and not the "English or British Subbuteo Forum". Just to remember.

You still haven't explained why WASPA endorse ETF tournaments ..... why should the number of players at Italian events bother me and what on earth has the health of subbuteo in East Lancashire or the North West of Ireland got to do with anyone outside of our circle ?

You've stuck your nose into a thread whereby I was trying to help the lads out and turned it into your usual tirade against the English ...

Now I'm off to enjoy my Christmas break ... I suggest you do the same.

I've also changed my settings such that I can no longer read your posts as they are making me quite vexed ..

WASPA is not an independent organization, it is very close to FISTF. Go to the homepage and you will find: "Wanna play in the upper level? ... Then take part in some FISTF tournaments!!"
So WASPA is the second League, call themselves "Amateur Players Association" and the first FISTF League as Profs.
Thats a bad joke.
Reflecting this facts I cannot understand why Subbuteo Tournaments will be held under the flag of WASPA. That was the reason why I started in giving my comments here.

You've stuck your nose into a thread whereby I was trying to help the lads out and turned it into your usual tirade against the English ...
Critizising some aspects of British Subbuteo community and reflecting about British mentality does not mean to devalue them - of course! Why should I attend Subbuteo tournaments in UK if having a bad impression of this country - quite the contrary!? And - you also critizise some aspects - where is the difference?
Iam able to think different. If reflecting about Germany I do the same.

Now I'm off to enjoy my Christmas break ... I suggest you do the same.
Happy Xmas.

I've also changed my settings such that I can no longer read your posts as they are making me quite vexed ..
:thumleft: :thumleft: Keep cool and enjoy your Christmas tea!
All the best for the Ireland Championships and a lot of fun, gents!

Anyway, getting back to the topic! I really enjoyed the experience of tournament play. Be that FISTF or subbuteo. There isn't enough of us playing either code over here to be able to pick and choose which style we like. I prefer subbuteo but I will always play a FISTF if it means getting a few competitive flicks in.

What you could do going forward and this might be a revolutionary thought is actually stop talking the talk and start flicking the flick ? ..
