Stoke is three hours from London by train ... not good news for me and for the other italians ... very very sad ...
Hw long boxes
Re: The Maidenhead old Subbuteo Festival 19th/20th March 2016
its actually around 1.5 hrs if you can get the right train, but I can sympathize with you. If there were to be annual Subbuteo events around Manchester would that be of interest to Italians and others? I'm not sure how well Manchester Airport caters for flights to and from Italy.Stoke is three hours from London by train ... not good news for me and for the other italians ... very very sad ...
I would encourage people to support the Stoke and Rudi events. We need more not less of these. If they are half as good as Maidenhead was, then that be great news for the Subbuteo community.

Tis a weird geographical quirk - its actually about an hour quicker to get from Rome to Maidenhead by Plane and Train than taking the Train from Blackburn to M'head (probably cheaper too!)

I wouldn't wish coach travel of anybody, but it can look cheaper than the train on occasion. http://coach.nationalexpress.com/nxbooking/journey-list

Any hope of a 2017 event? Smaller venue if the numbers aren't as they used to be?
