Andy,
Great fun today, thanks very much for organising it, a real pleasant atmosphere, despite Brian Daley being there :-), as every Subbuteo gig should be.
All the best and hopefully see you soon :-)!!!

Andy,

Many thanks for a good day out yesterday. Besides enjoying an opportunity to play Subbuteo again (but must remember to brush up on the 'definitive' rules because there seem to be some different interpretations out there that caught me out a few times!), it was good to pick up a few things from the stalls before the games (although the 128 Bochum that I need to complete my 1-190 classic HW still remains elusive).

Great to meet Steve and see his 'flats' - loved the Southampton away kit. If I can ever manage to improve my flicking ability to at least average with the classics, then I might have to acquire some flats because they looked fun to play with.

PS Pleased to get off a little earlier yesterday afternoon - M6 entrance at junction 15 was shut off and had to detour via Stafford

It was great to meet you too! Was good to have a chat during our (somewhat extended) warm up game

Nothing wrong with your flicking BTW!

Using flats is something completely different from the 3D figures, something I found out to my cost when I swapped! Best thing is to pick up an original set of Subby Flats (can get standard red or blues as part of a box set on ebay for reasonable money), and don't be disheartened when you start using them and think you have regressed to the ability of a 6 year old - which is what happened to me
