Tempted to enter. I've never played outside my own house before, so not sure whether this might not be the best first event!

You will need to study and do some serious practice with the FISTF rules James.
Also getting used to polished bases and so on.
If you message me on Facebook, I can put you in touch with someone on Merseyside who would help you out

The first three events use Swiss format - which allows players of all abilities to have a good days play.

You are also guaranteed five games, only the first game is draw at random, the rest are drawn on your position and ability

The good thing about PTSA is that all events are one day events, meaning players still have that Sunday to spend with family etc.

Players that do not like winning cash for events, normally donate their money to a chosen charity.

Thank you

A quick glance at the rules suggests you played 4 rather than 5 ?

There was suppose to be 5 games per player but the venue had to shut earlier then expected

A new venue has now been confirmed for next stage

Fair enough ... but I'd be careful in using the word guarantee with regard to Subbuteo or in your case Table Soccer events ... always seems to be something unexpected along the way.

I hear this was cancelled. Only five players entered. I still think there isn't enough players in these isles to be splitting into different formats. I think Ralph mentioned a good point before about smaller, local events/leagues/clubs is the way to go. As much as we all love Subbuteo or table football, it's not easy having to travel long distances for tournaments. Especially as you get the same joy and fun out of a small local gathering.

Yes it has, due to lack of interest sadly.
