For those forum members that are eBay sellers and send items to Cyprus (not that many I know  ), I recently found that it is possible to track a parcel sent by registered post (the equivalent of Royal Mail ISF) from any country.

The relevant website is http://ips.cypruspost.gov.cy/ipswebtrac ... submit.htm

It is in English and details are provided of the item's whereabouts until it is delivered to or picked up by the recipient.
1 to 100 HW series now completed. :fadein:

All HW national teams references now collected. :D

What should be next?

Basically yes just copy and paste the tracking number into the Inserisci il codice dell'invio: box
enter the date underneath. This is not necessarily the actual date you posted you might need to enter the date you posted or the next 2 days after. also it will take at least 2 days after posting to appear.

For example a team I posted last monday has the following information:

Spedizione RJ659580160GB con data 01/11/2010:
Accettato dal centro postale di MILANO CSI WINDOWS in data 03-NOV-2010
Consegnato dal portalettere del centro postale di GE RECCO RECAPITO in data 05-NOV-2010
Excellent advice!!

Many thanks!!

I'm now using this info regularly to trace where my packages are

Currently the CHEAPEST non UK fully tracked parcel service :-

http://www.worldwide-parcelservices.co.uk/

Checkout and ordering a bit fiddly but they are CHEAP
Thanks, Brian.

Just used this service for a 6kg package destined for Italy.

With Parcel Force / Royal Mail, the charge was £41+; with Worldwide Parcel Services, the total price was £19.19

I think the link provided on the opening page is now outdated ... or maybe it's just my connection.

I tried to get on to track a parcel I sent to Italy (by ISF ... buyer is now claiming non-delivery) - but could not get anywhere.

Many thanks ... that link is perfect!

When I type in the details (tracking code and date posted) for the item I sent, I receive this message:

"Accettato dal centro postale di MILANO CSI WINDOWS in data 19-LUG-2011

Consegnato dal portalettere del centro postale di RM OSTIENSE REC. in data 21-LUG-2011"

Loosely translated, this means:

"Accepted from the center it mails them of MILAN CSI WINDOWS in date 19-LUG-2011

Delivered portalettere of the center it mails them of RM OSTIENSE REC. in date 21-LUG-2011"

I assume I can safely conclude the buyer is trying to con me by claiming non-delivery?? 8)

Ian you are correct the buyer has recieved your parcel or it has been signed for at that address.

There are so many Italian buyers that think that these parsels cant be track outside the uk, I have had a about 12 that have claimed there items were not recieved but i was able to proove they had. Shaying that most italian buyers are spot on.

Once you contact the buyer with this imfo they will back down i sure of that.

Well, I've backed him into a corner on this one.

I've posted the following message on Paypal's Resolution Centre (I've edited details out of course for the purpose of this post):

Hello ********* (this may be published sooner rather than later :lol!:),

I have performed all possible checks on this item, and can confirm the following details:

1. I posted the item on 15/06/2011 at 16:58pm at ********** Post Office ...

Session ID: 1-363404.

Weight of package: 0.130kg.

Price & Method: ISF Sur SP £6.45.

The tracking code is: RJ********9GB.

I have retained my Proof of Postage which contains all of these details, including your postal address.

2. When I check this tracking code on the Royal Mail website, I receive this confirmation:

"Your item, posted on 15/06/11 with reference RJ********9GB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in ITALY."

3. When I make the further check with the tracking service now provided by the Italian Postal Service (Poste Italiane - Posta Raccomandata), I receive this added confirmation:

[ http://www.poste.it/online/dovequando/s ... ccomandata" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ]

"Spedizione RJ********9GB con data 15/06/2011:

Accettato dal centro postale di ******** CSI WINDOWS in data 19-LUG-2011

Consegnato dal portalettere del centro postale di RM ******** REC. in data 21-LUG-2011"

This means that the package was delivered on the 21 June 2011.

Please drop your claim.

Many thanks, and kind regards,

Ian.

It will be interesting to see what he/Paypal does about this!

I did the same as you but then he claimed the parcel WAS delivered but was just an empty box. paypal confirmed e police checked this and therefore refunded him.

That's one of the reasons why I cited the weight of the package - commensurate with a HW team inside.

Bit of a cheek to claim 1. non-delivery, then, when proof of delivery was provided, 2. allege what WAS delivered was an empty box.

How can you possibly win if Paypal sides with this bare-faced lying?!

Plus, Paypal's big hurdle seemed to be putting the onus on the seller to prove the item has been delivered.
