Its a repainted original, but excellent work, any item is worth what someone is willing to pay.
I know from my sales on ebay and elsewhere, that International kits, new and retro are the in thing in the UK

The problem is not people selling... the problem are people that buy repainted teams to very very high price...

There is a new breed of Collector that, either do not know its a repainted team or just do not care

The seller states quite clearly that she produces one-off individually painted teams . With all due respct they are often complex kits and to a far higher standard than most painters are capable of so where is the problem ?

Why is it a problem ? we all collect different things I for example do not understand why people collect heavyweights . The bases warp the painting is really very very poor and they are often too valuable to flick plus you can never be sure if half of them are genuine or not due to the very method of production.

No, no there is no problem ! People spend their money as they prefer, specially buying collectable items !
I just wonder, as Mark does, why these kind of teams reach so high evaluations. Recently on the same media I have seen beautiful and quite rare original HW to go for much less.
Mark, in particular has made really BEAUTIFUL Santiago teams, sold with a full coloured named box matching the team... I haven't seen these prices on them!!!!

The people who buy her teams are buying highly detailed work and she seems to have two or three buyers who compete for her auctions. The amount of time required to paint that way goes far beyond anything produced by most heavyweight painters original or contemporary and that is not meant as any kind of slur .

NO one really has a problem, its just understanding the prices paid.
Each to their own.

Aren't these the same kind of figures as the ones on show in the Lightweight 334 Burnley thread that you recently created, Dallas ??
(Might be a modern version of the 80's original Subbuteo figure).
Carpet football sucks.

They are original SSG LW's, repainted to a very high standard, or its a decals team, it is a good bit of work
