It's not doing too bad now, Ian, and there's still nearly 5 days to go.
Carpet football sucks.

I paid £185 for a Referenced 304 recently, which I considered a bargain. It will be interesting to see how far this goes.

Fiorentina special is one of the most wanted teams among Italian Subbuteo enthusiasts. I don't own it. I own a Delacoste Lille, the 144 reference, double trim version, a very nice kit. Good luck to ycfcfan, is he on this forum?

Subbuteo is now like most of the art galleries around the world full of fakes. I wonder what percentage of rare teams in collections are fakes. I've read that a lot of galleries know they have fakes but tend not to publicise it, a bit like Subbuteo collectors I suspect.

Spot on. I would love to have a collection of classic HW teams but it's an absolute nightmare with so many fakes out there so I stay well clear. I know LWs aren't everyone's favourites but a machine printed kit us far harder to fake.

You are fairly safe if you stay away from the rare references. I would not risk paying big money for any team now. A lot of fakes can be spotted but there are those where you can never be 100% certain.
