Payment Advice Needed

Post by Vikash » 06 Nov 2018, 20:05

Hi there, boys and girls 8)

I won an auction, and paid for the item. The buyer says the postage he quoted was too low, and is asking for GBP3.50 more to cover the postage shortfall. I have no problem with this because I also thought the postage of about GBP3 was strangely low to send a set of goals to South Africa.

I have been trying to pay the chap the extra GBP3.50 but have no clue how to go about it without his PayPal address. I have asked him for it, and he says he's not sure what his PayPal address is

Can someone help with how I can send him the money using the info I have of the transaction on PayPal?

Thank you 8)

if you used Paypal to pay him in the first instance, you can get his paypal email from your activity page, click on the persons name and the email will come up, you can then arrange a payment directly. I have had the same problem as I am in the US, had a couple of sellers who needed extra postage.

not sure its all that fair that you pay extra though Vik unless he didn't publish postal prices to SA

I see what you mean, Jon. He did publish the postage at GBP2.60 for worldwide, mate, on the auction listing. But I had a feeling it may have been a low postage rate, so didn't mind the extra.

It was a Ref. 61207 European Goals, so with decent packaging I thought GBP2.60 was low for a trip to SA. I'm happy to be fair about postage even though I guess he did set a rate.
