Tough one, Colin mate... Sorry you didn't win the World Of Sport

There is another one listed, although not in the mint condition as this listing.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and was a very keen player in the late 1970's and just played with mates on a board that my ol man made which we placed on top of the 6x3 snooker table. I never played in a league if there was one in my area of Wiltshire, UK but did play in a national competition arranged by Roy of the Rovers comic on 24th/25th August 1980. It was played at the London Penta Hotel (now the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum Hotel I believe). In the room next door Tiger and Scorcher comic were running their scalextric competition. 17 of us kids turned up to find out it was a 'foursomes' comp which meant dad's or mum's playing! most played in goal.
Anyhow, I managed to win the weekend event and was presented with, my then my most wanted item in the world, the Subbuteo World of Sport compendium box set!!! It was awesome, and still is. I still have the fully complete set, nothing is missing. I have photo's of us playing and the presentation, the playing rules printed by Subbuteo who ran the weekend, and a list of the competitors. The Roy of the Rovers artist and editor were in attendance and I have their autographs and a picture of Roy Race drawn for me.

So, to my main point for this post, I am going to sell my World of Sport compendium and wondered if anyone knew what it would be valued at these days, and where I should sell it for the best price.
It has been stored in the loft since probably 1982. The box is a bit tired and could do with a careful clean and a mouse has taken the outer layer of a corner off (about 1" x 2") but everything else is good. The football and cricket set have been played with mostly. I didnt used to set up the floodlights, stands and people so they're all there. I tried the rugby but for the life of me dont get how it can be played, I even wrote to Subbuteo as an 11 year old asking how can it be possible, without reply! :-)
It's really cool that people still play the fine art of Subbuteo!! I'd love the set to go to someone who appreciates it. I have kids now, who just laughed at me when I showed them it this week...peasants :-)
Cheers

It all seems very easy, this revolution game
But when you start to really play things won't be quite the same
Your intellectual theories on how it's going to be
Don't seem to take into account the true reality
