RiverPlate took me up on the offer of early sight of the fixtures as he's away for a week over the festive season.

Here's his report:

Hey steve post this up for me when the 17th fixture is ready, cheers.

Finn Harps 1 - 0 Swansea

Tough old game, Finn Harps scored a great goal then ... suddenly lost it , swansea just attacked the hell out of Finn's goalie, smashing in 9 shots, half were saved, three poor misses and i mean awful!!! two off the woodwork (bar and post) .

two extra minutes were played at the end of the game as swansea had a corner, got saved for another corner, and again hit a defender for another .. until the Finn's manage to boot the ball upfield to the cheer of the fans and the whistle blew!!

definately swansea's game yet the result says otherwise ...hmm is it the "subbuteo God" telling us something????

Toronto 0 - 0 Apoel Nicosia
A dull game with no real action.

Norwich 2 - 1 Floriana
Should have been Florianas game, they hit the metalwork on no less than 4 occasions.

Melchester Rovers 3 v Partick Thistle 2

By the 23rd minute the home side had taken a 2 - 0 lead and it looked likely that they would have a comfortable win. However Partick reduced the deficit within 5 minutes and play was fairly even for the rest of the half.

In the second period Melchester had the lions share of possession but could not add to their slender lead. As the clock ticked away Thistle gained in confidence but time was running out, then with 5 mins left following a swift break Melchester were cut open by a killer pass to the no.8 who shot low into the corner 2 - 2.

Melchester had paid the price for not killing the game. Then within the final minute, Roy Race received the ball out wide and sent a pass across the area which found Gerry Holloway steaming through between two defenders to blast the ball into the net, followed by the sweet sound of the pheep pheep pheep of the referees whistle.
