The low scoring in my SPL is definitely 'cos its LWs. But it's a level playing field when all 4 teams are using them.BlackpoolRock wrote:A very nice trophy, well worth playing for.
Your Scottish League remains tight, with goals at a premium. Do you think it's just because of the LW's, or influenced because the four teams are evenly matched, and don't want to give anything away?
Going back, just a little, to your Chelsea v Newcastle match, I often find some of the most enjoyable matches to play are the low-scoring tight ones, whether it's because of a few missed chances or defences simply playing well, with players in the right places, by intended placement or just the run of the ball.
RE: Chelsea v Newcastle. Yes the tighter games are much more enjoyable. In fact it's amazing how much you end up enjoying it.
Well thanks to Bob the builder and Fireman Sam I managed to play the 3 matches after all!

WBA 1-0 Stoke. A much needed win for the LPM from the Hawthorns. A win here and Stoke would go joint top, but wasn't to be.
Man C 0-1 Notts F. Still no wins for city as Forest now top the table.
Everton 1-0 S'land. Everton move into the top 4 as S'land also miss the chance to go top.
