This looks like a nice set in decent nick. I've played the ice hockey version, which is quite popular in Scandinavia and North America, a fair bit, though not for some years now. I honestly can't imagine it working as well with a rolling ball as it does with a flat, sliding puck though, which may be one reason why the football version never really took off.

I used to have one of these. Bought mine at a local flee market for 10 SEK which was about £1 in the early 80's. It never got as popular as the ice hockey game.

The ball was of pretty thick plastic with a small metal ball inside. I tried to use a Subbuteo ball once when the original ball split into two halves, but it was way too light.

The newer versions, one was released in 2011 and another one late 2016, of the game has a smoother pitch, the players attached to the rods differently and the ball now has some sort of sand inside rather than the metal ball.
