Hi. Believe it or not, I find Poundlands own superglue works as good as any other. 5 or 6 for your pound.

Most Wood glues will dry clear. Unfortunately, may not useful for Subbuteo. I do use it in some bases for compression.

You could try Humbrol clearfix or Revell Contacta Clear.
They're specifically for attaching transparent parts to model kits so they dry completely clear.

Nice one Bees. Contacta is a great product to have on hand, for any model making.
