Astonishing. Love the fact its mainly standard subbuteo stands just heavily modified to nigh on perfect Goodison.

Can we expect to see spectators actually standing on the terraces? I always get a little sad when people's gorgeous terraces are populated by sitters! Given all subbuteo fans were in that position I guess they'd have to be bended under heat on the joints of use OO guage railwaymen..

Most of us on here with standing fans got them from China. They are comparatively cheap and always on eBay, either coming painted or unpainted. The painted quality is really poor, but with several thousand needed it provides a base to work from. You can see them on my "Goldstone" threads.

Truly outstanding.

And seeing the progress from the early stages makes you appreciate just how much hard work has gone into it.

You must be very proud of it. It's a simply superb and very true to Goodison. It has to be one of THE very best Subbuteo versions of a real ground i have ever seen.

I was there during the 84-85 season when Grimsby Town secured a shock 1-0 win in the League Cup. I think the Toffees had won 10 games in a row prior to that night including a 5 goal demolition of Man Ure. Seeing your ground lit up brings back fond memories of that night for me.

Good information, I am planning to work on the outside of shell of the ground first as there are wires and bits of wood so although the pictures inside the ground look ok when I watching the football in the same room I can see it looking a bit messy. After this I am going to start filling it with fans,

Out of interest does anybody know roughly how many fans a subbuteo stand takes?

It was nostalgia that got the whole thing started and like yourself a late 80's game under floodlights would be my ultimate football experience

Not wanting to bore oeopke too much m. The stadium has moved at the request of the international wife comittee to the free republic of my office and also some changes to the gwladys street and main stand roof. Still some straightning up but a battery change in in stand lighting and an arrival of 2000 supporters entering the main stand tomorrow will kick start a new view of the ground but for tonight...

Great piece of work you must be really proud of that. My Goldstone Ground brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. When the supporters move in it brings the whole thing alive.
