Thanks Adam , also they do look better on here to be fair ?
Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)
Where did that crazy throw in figure on youtube come from, I want one ?
Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)
The France 98 box set. The corner kickers work just as well. It's the only Hasbro equipment (oh and goals) that we've allowed ourselves to use, simply because they are great fun! A lot easier to use than previous version of throw in takers. If you get it right, you can throw the ball directly onto your playing figure.

Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)
The throw in figures and Corner Kickers are actually superb. They actually work. And with very little practice you can get the ball to go to the player you are aiming for.
Great fun to use...it actually feels more normal to use them now...and more realistic to football.
Seeing the ball go into a crowded box at corners, actually in the air and with an amount of control, brings a whole new level of enjoyment to the game, without taking away from the normal 'tactics' of playing the game.
What seemed like a novelty idea, has become the norm now, and it's seamlessly been added into how we play with only positives in how it's made the game more lifelike.

Thanks for posting the pics, Adam. Excellent.
Lovely pic of the white shirted moulded scarecrow. I do like these.
And the Scottish mid-70s football fan, perched precariously on top of the crossbar.

Ah that would be Roy Race. His Rocket flew past the goal post and he ended up on top of the net!
I really enjoy using the throw/ corner takers. As Spud says, it started out as a novelty and its now become the norm to use them.
Embrace all the nuances of subbuteo that you can whilst playing, that's what makes it such a great, fun, enjoyable experience. It helps that we're all a like minded bunch, that take it light hearted whilst playing. Subbuteo has become an excuse to meet up with good friends, have a laugh and eat good food......plus play a few games!
