New signings for Vanguard Rovers
New signings for Vanguard Rovers
So the old Rovers have been in the transfer market and signed some new players. First off we have a tough right back Wesley Anker (W.Anker) good for long throws, great at tossing the ball in. Then from eastern Europe 6'5" keeper Dimitri Urex (D.Urex) a safe pair of hands when the opposition forwards are SHOOTING. Dimitri has been bought in to cover for regular keeper Simon Cooter (S.Cooter) who has a great rate of acceleration from the line to dive at attackers feet. Chief scout Mark Ental (M.Ental) he's MAD about finding talent for us, has certainly been busy this summer. Trevor Osser (T.Osser) has signed a new contract, a trusty striker who can SHOOT from anywhere. So a busy summer for Rovers so far! The fans down at the Lynny Lane Stadium certainly have a lot to look forward to when the season kicks off in early September. Probably have a couple of friendlies to report before then chaps! Saints on radio Solent in the background and and Rovers in the Midanbury League on the SUBBUTEO table, its the only way to survive winter you know.

Excellent jensky. You could run your own weekly column, in any media form, about your solo league. You would get plenty of people tuning in to here the latest. Roy of the Rovers eat your heart out!

Re: New signings for Vanguard Rovers
The summer is always a busy time for managers. That is why they all seem to be buzzing around like bluebottles trying to recruit the right players.
With the long season ahead, has Nicholas O'Teen been interviewed for the vacancy specialist fitness trainer?
Also, has that notorious midfield player, Earl E. Bath, been able to find a club? I think I read that he only made a few starts last season, and even fewer finishes.
I, too, will look forward to reading about the fortunes of Vanguard Rovers during the coming season.

Ha ha, love it mate, I'll try to release details of the full squad before the season starts! Hopefully Rovers will take the 2nd division of the Midanbury league by storm this time round!
