E BAY PURCHASE.
What i love to see is when members post up pics of stuff they've picked up. Be it Ebay, Car Boots, adverts etc.
It shows what can still be lurking out there and that one day you may get lucky enough to get your hands on. Gives us all hope.
Sometimes a (slight) bit of envy creeps in I suppose. Never seems to happen for you always somebody else. But this is soon dispelled by seeing teams in their full glory and the thought that rather than gathering dust in some dark and damp loft they will be appreciated for the works of art they are.
I have had occasional strokes of luck over the years picking up nice pieces here and there. I have shared some of those with you guys before. And when you pick a bargain that buzz certainly intensifies.
This brings me onto this post. I was on Ebay last week and just happened upon a brand new listing. A Subbuteo Joblot. It had literally only been put on minutes before and as a Buy it Now. I quick glance of the first few photos convinced me to indeed buy it now. Because I knew as soon as anyone else saw it it would be snapped up. Even waiting for Paypal to come up I thought someone is going to nip in there.
Anyway purchase complete i then studied the photos a bit more. If this was what I thought it was it was going to be one of my best ever ebay purchases.
I wont say what I paid as that would be gloating too much but suffice to say a bargain.
It arrived today and needless to say I was a kid in a candy shop. Little pleasures. My wife seemed quite bemused by my child like reactions when I opened up the boxes.
Included was:
a complete Rugby set in decent nick (Workington v Wigan)
a semi complete Football Club edition (late 70's zombies....boooooo)
Various literature and catalogues
2 boxed sets of GK's - 1 with caps
number transfers
corner kickers
a box set of R217 Rugby Line Flags
some odds and sods........
and these 9 boxed teams

Well done mate.
I do a "job lot" search about once a week on E-Bay, looks like you beat me to this one.
You don't see many on a Buy It Now option, you've bagged some nice teams there.

Nice work

Some really nice teams there.
Chile are definitely one of my all time favourites on Hw, I need to get myself one sorted sooner or later.

Re: E BAY PURCHASE.
Cheers guys.
I was extremely lucky Paul. Just on Ebay at the right time. I must have been the first to see it as I am sure the first person who did would have bought it there and then (especially for the asking price).
Definately keeping the 124 and 29. Didnt have a 124 and the 29 i know is far better than the one I already have. The others I will see how they compare to the ones in my collection and then decide which if any I will look to move on.

Re: E BAY PURCHASE.
Really pleased with the 'lot' as a whole. All the teams are in excellent condition. The only negative was all the boxes including the box sets were 'secured' by a few strips of parcel tape. But very happy all the same.
The 124 is the highlight of course. Worth more on its own than I paid for the entire lot.
Top finds there Jon.
Rarely see either of those refs pop up so to nab 2 excellent mate.
Yep while ebay is mainly full of common stuff and dodgy repaints you do come across the occasional masterpiece.
Mark. Most of the 70's pics for Innsbruck I have seen showed them in kits similar to refs 77 and 78. But i found this
