ref 33 bishop auckland

Post by Irons-65 » 21 Mar 2019, 07:19

hi all, just got the bug back after many years and all my bits stored in the loft.
have been going through all my hws and checking condition of teams and boxes, checking my ref 33 I noticed the shorts in black are fairly shiny and wondered if anyone had encountered this sort of thing in the past, team is 100% genuine bought by myself many moons ago from the old Jennings toy shop on the hertford road in enfield, grateful for any feedback, never really took much notice of it before, box and team are mint condition.
many thanks come on you irons

ps not looking to sell on just to display my collection(again)

Just where the SSG painter didn't stir the paint properly before applying. It occurs often. Enjoy the bug again :-)

I've got a ref 9 with the afore-mentioned fairly shiny black shorts.

Mostly on black and blue paint it seems
Often you’ll have some more shiny than others on the same team as the effects of not stirring wore off as the painting progressed
