I'm glad that it doesn't excite me too much. The displays which were being sold last year were more desirable in my view due to the graphics.

Always nice to get a team with the original shop label, the favourite in my collection is West Ham which has ' Chambers Upton Park'. I used to buy my teams at Hove Sports Depot, unfortunately I have none of my original stuff. So if anyone has any teams with that label and wants to sell look no furth...

If anybody told me now that they have a collection to sell, but want the minimum of hassle, I would advise them to restrict to UK buyers only.

Also remember that the players were painted in bulk and collected from the outworkers. The teams were made up and boxed in a separate operation.

Quite possible that a player with different colour boots was included. Does the player with the black boots also have black hair ?

Impossible to answer, but one that has stood the test of time for me and gets a spin every now and then is Lou Reed 'Rock and Roll Animal'

as the keeper cannot move to the shot the chances of running up a cricket score are very high ...and as he doesn't have a rod he is easily knocked over or displaced by a good shot anyway I use the goalie off the rod and reposition him every time a shot is taken. The goalie is mounted in diving mode...

True, but you would think now that we have the internet and its so easy to check prices it wouldn't happen.
