Statuettes C120

Post by mrchrisallen »

Have a collection of about 30 boxed statuettes, plus a few loose and the odd customised one.

Two versions of the #55, the second darker with no socks tops.

Not sure about ”goldfinger”.

Birmingham City repainted and ball glued to plinth.

Strange, all of the boxes I have show same address; Langton Green, although they must have been available when Subbuteo moved around Kent?

Subbuteo certainly had multiple suppliers of these boxes as, although most are unmarked, a few have “Mardon” on inside of box and others have “Standard Box & Carton Company” on back of tray.

I remember the “Standard Box & Carton Company” ….I think they were in Hampshire at the time. Seem very vaguely to recall PA going on visits there...it was a long time ago!!

All those statuettes are amazing Chris btw :awe:

Put the previous post in the wrong section, as it’s not for sale; #79 WHU with white shorts, no sticker.

NB: I’m posting using a small IPhone and predictive texts sometimes slip through!

I'm not sure if this is a genuine Subbuteo figure, but there's one of these gold figures on Ebay.
Seller is "tosh211066"
