Lilac bases were only used on earlier teams
Strange assertion... I have always thought they were a late production.
The aubergine bases were from the end of sixties, beginning of seventies, the lilac arrived later the 1974/75.
But I could be wrong.
Anyway, the Pescara is absolutly genuine and found in that reffed box. As genuine as the two ref 74 I have, found in those boxes.
That's why I have always thought the lilac base came from the end of seventies.
I am open to your opinion.
Yes mate...all the teams are genuine.

Maybe you have misunderstood? Some collectors believe that Lilac bases didn't exist in the late 70's as a 'new production', and that only older stock was used from the mid 70's.

Are the lilac bases from the late 70's teams like those from the mid 70's....warped and deformed, or more conformed like later production bases from the late 70's? Or are the late 70's teams using lilac bases from the mid 70's...using up 'old stock'?

Some nice teams there.
I always assumed the lilac base combos were a case of 'use that stock up'. Did Subbuteo care really about base combo colours so long as they matched in some way? i guess even back then tjere would be the odd persons with a little 'artistic flair'

This was a nice team I thought...the seller called them pink bases, although I'm sure they look lilac to me. Pink or Lilac? Anyone got any Pink bases?

They look amazing- what a find.

I haven't even got any lilac bases never mind pink. Maybe its the red underneath but they do look pinkish to me.

As Mark said...it's Fiorentina. From a range of teams produced in Italy. You can see here... http://www.celticdream.it/SPECIALS.htm

The bases in that link also look pink to me lol
