Any Morrisey fans in the house?

I like to think my daughter (she's almost 19 now) has good tastes in music - and she does. A good eclectic mix.

She's a huge Morrisey fan but has never seen him live. He's playing the Usher Hall in Edinburgh tonight and she's there. Good to see the youngsters still having a taste for some favourites from years gone by.

Yep very big Morrissey fan. Saw The Smiths, seen Moz half a dozen times. Have everything he's ever done. Probably should put up some pics of my collection.

Excellent stuff guys. Great pics there NGD. I'll show her and I'm sure she'll be quite amused that she's made it on to the Subbuteo MB - about Morrissey!

It is a Subbuteo forum but this is a Moz fan thread and you mustn't say anything bad about him here ;-)

About to post up some more of my Moz collection too, for those interested. Shouldn't be too long.

the mans certainly not an idiot imho
Very sharp and sometimes bitter/racist/pro homo/anti homo ect, but, usually 'on the money' with his lyrical commentaries
Thats why hes liked so much, hes no 'x factor' media puppet and isn't controlled by anyone other than himself.
Thats how you MUST live your life, artistically and morally.
Honestly The Smiths were the first band after punk that were worth anything, and bear in mind the utter poo that was around them in the uk charts circa 83 for 'inspiration'....none, i'm thinking Icicle Works, Wham, Culture Club et al
Having said that loved Flock of Seagulls too, great melodies and space age lyrics.

In 1983 i think i bought around 10 singles only, Smiths, Big country, The Beat, U2 and thats about all that was worth a flip

Nah, no idiot. Lewis entitled to his opinion & to air it too!

Would be nice if we could keep this as a pro-Morrissey thread though.

Anyhow more pics coming up! Morrissey cd Albums plus a couple of singles I missed off last time.

Time for some Smiths cd singles

Not too many of these but there is a Rhino box set - released a year or so ago. Top right.

Also in this pic some more stuff that should be elsewhere. Sloppy I know but I did it quickly and I'm in the process of sorting my music out. It's everywhere
