Its sad really but to sign up you have to jump through hoops to get signed up as you have to email subbuteoforum@gmail.com to get your notification email its just not as easy now compared to facebook. There are some great groups on Facebook but sadly that means this is being left behind and very few people post at all now which is so sad. For those on the fence about joining the facebook groups i think you should go for it but also post on here as well why can't we have the best of both worlds?

Following up on post yesterday I feel its rather that we are going to lose some peoples opinions like Mark Adolph (Krama) and few others who are the last remnants of this forum from the glory days. To lose there knowledge and thoughts as time goes on and facebook groups grow its so sad. If only if
only :(

Excellent post, the problem is I think on here regarding being hard to get signed up, is that the admins are hard to get hold of, and never ever post on here which is not on if they are admins!! I assume the admins have to approve applications to join when you email them on that address. The admins should be hands on, the only time they appear is when they want annual financial contributions to the site. I personally am happy to contribute but can understand why people don't. Also there are no mods from what I can see, or if there are, like the admins they never post! Maybe if was simple to join, more people would. This needs sorting.

I agree I really does need sorting out but i feel it is easier said than down now in regards to getting hold of the admins. I really think they lost heart and gave up especially when facebook is the go to place now.

Never thought I`d say it, but it looks like I need to join FB and Twitter to continue my enjoyment. I shall still pop in here from time to time.
Some good archived stuff on here be a shame to lose it.

Thanks for the heads up.
Was on facebook ages ago but people from your past reach out. I`m like, I didnt talk to you at school or socialise with you out of work. Why the hell would I talk to you on social media. Also people get hiss because you don`t accept their friend request.
Time marches on and I suppose I have to take the plunge.

I and many of my pals got the hell out facecr*p around 2010. Will never go back, no matter what may or may not be there, that could be of benefit.

Its sad to admit it but I think I might need to join the social media throngs. There are some fantastic things on here in the archives that really do need saving. It still is a great place to lose a few hours.
But to keep your finger on the pulse so to speak the social platforms seem to be the 21st century`s answer to things. They`re certainly not a fix all panacea and god knows they are full of idiots, gob-5h1tes and ne`er-do-well`s. But it seems that you have to join `em, cos` you sure as hell ain`t gonna beat `em.
as the saying goes; you have to kiss a lot of frogs........

I shall frequent and post here for as long as it remains open and I am able to trawl the threads.

you don`t know what you`ve got til its gone!!

Instagram is a good alternative. There are some great subbuteo accounts on there without the disadvantages of facebook.
