Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
its so sad
Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
it is I agree, but at least Subbuteo is still out there as a brand, as a game in some form, and after 75 years! Not bad I guess.

Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
not bad at all Subbuteo is alive and well in everything other than official Subbuteo itself. Wonder what PA would think of this set haha
Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
By official Subbuteo I assume you mean made by Subbuteo? Im just happy it is being produced in some form or another using the Subbuteo name, even if it is a bit cr4p! I dread to think what pop would think of this particular set, but like me, I reckon he'd say at least its still out there in some form.

Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
I guess even in this form its still Subbuteo and the name and brand live on. Even if it did (subbuteo) die off again Subbuteo lives on through zeugo and other spiritual successors

Re: Questions for Mark Adolph (Krama)
It will live on through the countless number of dedicated players and collectors.
I am staggered by the lack of media attention the 75th anniversary of such an institution has had.
The 50th was decently documented in the press etc. Richard Payne published his book "Fifty Years of Flicking Football". The Toy Museum in London had a display and for my sins I was on "Collectors Lot" with my personal collection. I have tried to contact a number of media outlets C4, Yesterday and a contact at the BBC. Nothing! Probably be a last minute thing. Be nice to see something.
